Jacomijn van der Donk
length ca. 33 cm
Jacomijn van der Donk (Arnhem, 1963) graduated in 1990 from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy as a jewelry designer. She is fascinated by unexpected materials such as branches, stones, hair and, in this case, paint brushes. She breathes new life into these 'objets trouvés'. In this way an old brush, a modest twig, a boulder or pebble becomes a work of art to exhibit or to wear. Her work has been purchased by various (international) museums, including the Louvre in Paris and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
Several pieces available.
